"Sometime
ago I had a painful experience as I sprang the ligament in my
upper leg. I consulted many doctors and took many different
kinds of medicine. Perhaps coupled with my old age, my leg did
not seem to get any better. Until recently, a friend told me
about the healing prayers and mass conducted by a priest from
Canada and that was why I came to the Diocesan Pastoral Centre
for the Disabled to seek help. At that time in the healing mass
when Fr. Fernando Suarez laid hands on me, I felt well rested
in the Lord's arms. A few days later, my leg was not painful
anymore and it had become strong again. For this, I bear witness
to the healing of my leg. Let us give thanks and praise to our

"24th July 2004 was the day that Fr. Fernando Suarez came
to the Diocesan Pastoral Centre for the Disabled to conduct
inner healing. I was worried that I could not attend the ceremony
as I was suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure. My
conditions were unstable and the medicines I took always give
my headaches and make my bones ache all over the body. Thank
God, for on the day of the inner healing, I could hold myself
up until the time of the ceremony. When Fr. Fernando laid hands
on me, he asked me what my illness was, and then he held me
in his arms and blew gently on my face. At that moment, I suddenly
remembered reading a biblical passage, which described how Jesus
also blew gently on the sick when healing them. All of a sudden,
I felt this warmth inside me and thereafter my body trembled
and I laid down. I actually felt the great love and care our
Lord Jesus, the He never deserted me and tears started to gush
out from my eyes. At that moment, all my anxiety, worried, feelings
of helplessness and desertion vanished, I felt as if I was set
free from all the entanglements of this world. When I got home
I was exhausted and I went to bed. As I got up the next morning,
I felt strong and refreshed. To my astonishment, the reading
for my blood pressure fell within the normal range of 7, as
opposed to my previous range of 17-18. As I set off to church,
me pace felt much lighter than before the healing. I want to
thank to Lord, praise my God, Hallelujah!"

"I am John L. and on 24th and 25th July, 2004 I participated
the healing mass in the Diocesan Pastoral Centre for the Disabled
in Homantin conducted by Fr. Fernando Suarez, a Filipino priest
from Canada. Father healed me from Scapular Tendonitis and the
problems I had with my right sole. I was suffering from Scapular
Tendonitis for over a year and as I turned in my sleep every
night, my whole body ached. On the day of the healing mass,
Father pressed my shoulders and laid hands on me. Since then,
my Scapular Tendonitis has improved and my body aches much less
even when I turn in my sleep. Now I can actually turn both of
my shoulders in any direction. Besides, I had a sore spot in
my right sole. When I stepped on small rocks when walking, my
right sole would ache terribly. In addition, if I squatted down
without pushing my ankle to touch the ground, I would feel sharp
pain in the front of my sole. At the start of the healing ceremony,
I stood upright to pray and I felt warmth and slight numbness
and pain in my right sole. As Father pressed gently on my sole,
the numbness and pain disappeared instantly unlike the sharp
pain I experienced before. My sister, Mary Lam, also attended
the healing mass on 25th July 2004. She complained of abdominal
pain in several days before the ceremony. After the priest laid
hands on her, she lied down and according to her, she experienced
three streams of air passing through her abdomen, and then pain
disappeared since then. Both of us thank the Lord sincerely.
The Holy Spirit and our Lady have healed us from our illness
through Fr. Fernando Suarez. We also wish to thank Father his
Rector and Sister for organizing the healing mass, which helped
many patients indeed. May God bless you all."

"At
the last healing mass, a friend of our family attended who had
been diagnosed with a cancerous growth on her face. It had become
large, red and sore, Arrangements had been made for her to see
a specialist in Toronto at the St. Margaret's Hospital, who
specializes in facial surgery. Before leaving for Toronto, she
was invited to attend the healing mass at St. Maurice's. She
waited until the end of the night before going up to receive
Fr. Fernando's blessing and felt deeply moved by his healing
touch. A few days later she went to Toronto for her appointment.
Three biopsies were taken from the growth before sending her
home to wait for further appointments. Four days later she received
a phone call from the doctor stating that the cancer was not
to be found. Her face has now healed to the point where she
needs only to apply Vaseline to the area on her face if it becomes
red. Thank you, Lord."

I attended
your healing mass in Ottawa a few months ago. I have suffered
from chronic headaches for over 10 years. After the mass when
you called upon the faithful to approach the altar for prayers,
I responded with expectant hope and faith. It took me almost
an hour to get from my pew to the altar.
During that
time I imagined and prayerfully reflected what it would have
been like some 2000 years ago when the masses tried to reach
Jesus for prayer and healing.
While in
line I felt a 'burning' sensation on the palms of my hands.
My head
felt like electricity was flowing through it ... I felt warm
spots all over my head.
Once I reached
the altar and you prayed over me the sensation was unbelievable....I
felt God's power flow through me ... You then told me that my
headaches were healed. In the days that followed, I felt almost
daily symptoms that a headache was coming. Although difficult
at times to 'keep the faith' and keep believing - due to the
symptoms, I kept thanking God and believing his word. After
a month or so the symptoms did not return.
Since then
(3 months) I have only experienced several episodes of nausea.
I keep thanking
him daily for his mercy and healing. On average I suffered over
15 headaches a month - always with bad nausea.

After 15
days of restlessness, head-throbbing, lack of sleep, breathlessness
& blurred vision due to wrong medication I felt the hand
of God on me through father Fernando
& immediately after he laid his hand on me I was able to
surrender myself to the lord & thus was able to rest in
the spirit. I thank Our Lord that Father Fernando was able to
reach me in time & heal me of my sickness. My illness was
a tremendous strain on my wife & kids & after having
felt the hand of God on me & my family I'm able to focus
more on my wife & kids than before.

I recently
attended one of your healing masses and asked for prayers for
my chronic depression. Lately I've been feeling much better...thank
you and praise Jesus. I am trying to work on my spirituality
and strengthen my love for Jesus, but it's hard as I was away

Hi Fr. Fernando,
I happened to attend the healing mass tonight at St. John Fisher..and
I'm lucky that I had a wonderful time reflecting on the things
you've said in your homily. I was touched dramatically with
the things you have shared to us. As you were talking..I know
deep inside..this priest is a Filipino just like me..no doubt..I
checked on the internet..your a Filipino.
I am blessed
tonight since this is the only night I shared my thoughts about
Jesus to my one and only son. It gave me powers to teach my
kid..when we went home . This is the first time that I taught
my kid about Jesus. He was so much attentive listening to me....and
the words I spoke..came from my heart. After that conversation
with my 8 year ols kid..I was deeply touch that when we prayed
I hold his hands..and I began to cry..thanking the Lord for
everything..
Just like
you..I'm also young..but old with the catholic tradition..and
I'm glad that someone brought you in our parish..and this is
the gift that I will always cherish..the gift of healing...my
heart and mind was healed.

Good Morning
Father/s,
I am Ted
Macairan, one of the closest friend of Father Fernando. I know
Father Fernando since he was still in college till today, and
if ever he is in
the Philippines and I am there on vacation, we always meet during
his free
time and whenever I am free I used to accompany him to his appointments.
Way
back while he was still in the local seminary in the Philippines,
his ministry of
healing was quite ordinary to me and my wife because whenever
we felt any
ailments and problems physically and emotionally, we always
asked Father Edo's
intercession.
And one
thing I observed whenever he was in our home or when I
accompany him,was that his intercession was more powerful whenever
I smell fresh
flowers of abundant sweetness surrounding him.
I pray that
may GOD give Father Edo more strength to serve GOD's
calling and multiply your 'Companions of the Cross' tribe!
